Thermocouples with 4-20mA Transmitters

Many instrumentation systems only accept 4-20mA signal inputs, which means thermocouples can't be used directly. This is why 4-20mA thermocouple transmitters are used, they convert the standard signal into 4-20mA to allow the sensor to be used with a wider variety of systems.

When we range our transmitters, the lowest point e.g 0°C is set at 4mA and the high point e.g 600°C is set at 20mA which then allows the instrumentation system to understand the signal. We can also range transmitters to suit your systems requirements.

We supply in-head safe area 4-20mA transmitters, and ATEX (Ex) 4-20mA transmitters which are intrinsically safe and designed for use in hazardous area applications.  Our range includes DIN rail transmitters also for use in cabinets where in-head transmitters are not required. Our transmitters are also designed to detect error in temperature sensors, which generally happens when a sensor is reaching the end of its lifespan or if it is faulty.

The most popular range we supply is type K thermocouples with 4-20mA transmitters.

Below is our standard range of thermocouples with 4-20mA transmitters, simply select the product you require, select the length/diameter and add an optional transmitter.
